FS. Apple iPhone 5 16gb Black and Slate

Post by NeilP » Sat Nov 15, 2014 10:43 pm

For sale is an iPhone 5 in black, selling due to upgrade.

Comes boxed with unused accessories (usb cable, headphones, and adaptor).

The phone has been deactivated from find my iPhone as well as being fully wiped and is unlocked (as it was purchased directly from Apple).

The serial number of the phone does not match that of the box as it was replaced by Apple. There is also no remaining warranty left on the phone.

Included with the phone will be a screen protector and a Power Support Air Jacket, which was purchased from Apple earlier this year.

Price is £150 ono. I can arrange delivery at buyer's cost and am happy to post if need be (collection preferred).

I'm near Watford but happy to meet up if local, please feel free to pm me.

Is that a screen protector or the screen itself?

Just to clarify here - an Apple phone is locked to the network of the first SIM you insert. So has a SIM been inserted in this phone at all?
Current:
911-50 Black - unique spec
X5M - 575 hp of fun in a V8
Abarth 595 Comp.
Golf Clipper - collectors item
Z4 3.0si Black Sapphire
VW ID.3

Previous:
Z4M Silver Grey - non flimper spec (gone to Bing)
Z4 3.0 Toledo

I think that might be an urban myth.

Looks a bit optimistic to me for what might be politely described as a well-used phone. I'm assuming the photos don't do it justice though. Might have been better to have photographed it with a new screen protector on and done some close ups of the rear and sides as well. GLWTS.

Why do you say that? I have two Apple store bought phones, one I put an EE SIM in, one an O2.

I wanted to change the O2 sim to EE and could no as I had to unlock it. The Apple store Genie told me that, was not a problem but cost me £20 or so.

The EE phone I gave to my mother, and had to get that unlocked as well.

Defo not an urban myth I had mine unlocked and was told by both Apple and O2 that it will tether to whatever network I wanted and it would lock to the first sim it had installed.

Update:

Just submitted an unlock request from o2 (which was the sim used with the device) so correct me if I'm wrong, but the new owner would just need to put their sim in and it will work.

Price has also been updated.

Image below without the protector to show the condition of the screen (excuse the fingerprints).

Hopefully this helps.

That's interesting - I have an iphone 5S that was bought from apple, unlocked. Initially I used an EE SIM, and now use a Japanese (SoftBank) SIM in it. I change the two SIMs quite regularly with no issues (I've also used a dualSIM case with no connectivity issues; was a PITA to use though :) )?
