Ok, we are back from our Honeymoon and I see this drive coming up. Maybe Aug 11 would be better? Bob, we can reschedule or do our planning for the homecoming earlier in the day if this is better for all concerned. :D :driving:

Well after spending Sunday evening in Oxnard , I have come to the conclusion that there are no beaches that face west in SoCal. If there is a hint of a west facing beach it has houses on it ( no access ).

What do you all think of doing a Mulhuland drive? Not sure where to stop for a meal though. Say start in late morning and finish around 3:00. Instead of ending up in Oxnard, we would end in Santa Monica area ( Pepperdine area ). If we were to do that, those that must work on Monday, will not be out so late on a Sunday night.

This would be a cruise. Law enforcement is heavy in the area. We have not done this drive as SoCalZ's.

Hmmm,

Suggestions only,

Meet at the Camirillo Airport and then work back toward Santa Monica.

Could drive for 4 fours in the SMM and never drive the PCH

THen plan for a dinner near the SM zone.

I agree that no beaches are viable for those picture perfect poses.

What time mid morning do we meet at the airport and what sounds good for a meal?

I just got off the phone with a local and from what I hear about the law inforcement in the area, it is probably not a good idea to do Mulhuland. The law is stopping groups of cars and bikes for safety inspections and plate violations and anything else the can drum up.

What say we do the Outback run again? Enforcement is very low out that way. What say you all? :scratchhead:

I won't be making this run. I'll be down in San Diego for the So Cal Euro ( http://rsvp.socaleuro.com/ ) Event on Saturday and watch the Charger Game and Perseids Meteor shower on Sunday night.

You guys should go to Castaic or Angeles Crest! I was on there a week ago. Angeles Crest is nice and smooth... Recently repaved roads!

I agree about Mulholland... Cops are out in force due to the recent accidents in the canyons... They have employed operation safe canyon. I think CHP are allowed to patrol the area now... or maybe they always have I don't know haha
