Must remember to try driving with the roof up and see if it's noisier - but I'll have nothing to compare it with . . .

Thanks for the write-up, Paul. Makes us new Zed owners a bit more comfortable in the routine maintenance.

Thanks for that Swiftly
I think I'm going to put the bungs back in and just check them regularly.

Question about pouring water on the left side. I just took a tube and stuck it down to the bottom. I did not put it in the drainhole right down. Is that nessesary or is it just to feed the tube down and just Pour the water?
Can i Pour to much water or is it just to Pour about 1 liter to really drain out all dirt?

Hi, you don't really need a tube to pour the water in-as you can see from mrPT's video just using a jug is ok. Its a good thing to do as it proves the drain is clear, just sticking wire up the hole proves nothing reallybrainstorm wrote:Question about pouring water on the left side. You should be ok unless you poke a hosepipe into the void on full blast

Is both drainplugs "connected" so if i Pour water on the passager side, the water can also come out on the other side?

No, they are separate from each other & water only comes out from the side it has been poured into-unless you pour it under the rear window area where it will drain away equally to each sidebrainstorm wrote:Is both drainplugs "connected" so if i Pour water on the passager side, the water can also come out on the other side?

Thanx for the reply
Ok, but water can only be poured on the side without the motor, correct?
The other side its only to take like a vacume cleaner or just take and clean the plug?

Randomly I think I have one of these in my z4 parts bin. Considering I have a coupe I can't think where its come from. Happy to send to anyone who wants it, just cover the postage.Swiftly wrote:The part you need is number 18 http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showpar ... Id=54_0315STUBOY2UK wrote:
I took mine off the other week and the road noise has definitely, noticeably increased on my daily commute down the motorway.
Does anyone know what part number they are as I binned them?
