I'm keeping what I have for now. I could see buying an M3 of Boxster S in the future. The new Z4 is nice, but not for me.

Re: Now we have seen what it looks like....
Given I am currently not enjoying a Z4, I will buy a new Z4 (2009 model)..
I love it and want one nowwww!!
(OK, I will probably wait until there's an M, time will show)

Until they come up with a true coupe, I'm sticking with mine. Besides, the only way to "improve" on mine is an //M and there isn't one.

Keeping as a long termer is the plan, but who knows in 2/3 years what will be on the 2nd hand market and perhaps I will fancy a change. For now I'll be window shopping the new model and driving the old

Re: Now we have seen what it looks like....
interesting results.. i wonder how many of us 11 running it into the ground actually will.. will the maintenance on the //M be it's worst enemy once the warranties run out?
If I can keep my //M for another 3yrs I'll be both a better driver and have done a lot of fast miles.. ready to maybe trade it in for a new one..

My M is only a year old, so maybe in a couple of years when the warranty runs out on it, they may have introduced another M version

Re: Now we have seen what it looks like....
Depreciation is a way bigger factor than any remedial work costs.
My X5 is worth nowt (well say £10k), but despite 85,000 on the clock it looks like new is serviced for £100 a time at the village garage, has had one £600 bill in the last 5 years, costs £200 fully comp.
It's new equal would be £55k with the same spec. so that for sure will be run until my youngest finishes Uni (she's still at school) and I no longer need a hauler.
I see no reason the Zed would behave any different on a pure cost model
