Steering Column Fix - Torque Sensor (save £2000)

Conclusion to my 611c problem. I got the used steering column from eBay for about 100 bucks and it worked out perfect! I was able to recalibrate everything and had moved the eccentric ring about 6mm so lets hope its good there. Its like 90 plus degrees outside here in Florida so this will be a perfect environment to see if I get sticky steering. thanks for all the help!!

I have gone hydraulic but while I was pulling the EPS motor I was thinking it wouldn’t be too hard to install a 12v pc fan under there blowing on the area with the eps motor and it’s worm gear as the reality is metal expands very slightly with heat and a fan would keep it consistent steering feel. I doubt it would need much airflow just some airflow.
