Done a few things on mine but by far the most useful has been to code in the ability to raise/lower the roof while moving as I got caught out a couple of times at the lights, usually coming off the motorway. lol

edit. probably unlikely but if anyone here is around the Vleuten, Utrecht area I'll let you use mine for a few beer tokens....
Is that wise Chris? The E85 roof wasn't designed to lower or raise whilst travelling unlike the E89 roof. You could well sprain the mechanism I would have thought. :?
^^Agreed ^^ depending on the speed you could find yourself piloting a hang-glider!

Standard E85 can't be coded for that, unless yours is modded. :(

I bought the Carly Pro IOS app and would like to code my car for the above 2 features.

Can you please share the steps in the settings to follow Mike? When I attempted the folding mirrors setting I could only get it to work if I press the lock button twice.

I followed the following,

It will be in 2 modules CAS and FRM.
Changes you need to make in CAS:

You will need to change following options:
Comfort folding/unfolding for sideview mirrors
• active <-- This one
• not active
When holding the lock/unlock button on the remote the sideview mirrors automatically fold/unfold. To activate this function please activate ‘Comfort folding/unfolding for sideview mirrors’ in the ‘FRM’ module. Also activate ‘Comfort open using remote’ and ‘Comfort close using remote’ in this module. (CAS)

Comfort closing delay (mirrors)
• 0.0s <-- I selected this one
• 0.5s
• 1.5s
General delay for comfort closing. If ‘0.0s’ is set, mirrors fold immediately when car is locked. (CAS)

and
Do following changes in FRM:

Comfort folding/unfolding for sideview mirrors
• active <-- This one
• not active
This function requires an installed LIN-Bus (usually installed with mirror heating)nWhen holding the lock/unlock button on the remote the sideview mirrors automatically fold/unfold. May need additional coding of the ‘CAS’ module. (FRM)

Also, after its coded, the mirrors will fold in after holding lock down for a second or two, when opening the car a shorter press does it
Mike

Hope that helps
Mike

It certainly does - thanks Mike. I'll give it a go tomorrow

When you get a chance can you share the settings for the audible lock / unlock beep? Thanks again.

No, of course John, totally unwise to do it at speeds above say 10mph on a bumpy road but handy enough that you can pull away slowly from a traffic light mid-drop/raise and avoid the motorists behind you giving the making a sausage gesture.

Hmm I couldn't access the alarm module last time I tried. I'll try again tomorrow. :)

I coded/activated the audible unlock on my E85 but it's so loud that people look over and i then feel a bit self-conscious, sort of like 'i got your attention, now watch this old fart struggle to get into his roadster' hahah
Coding out the headlight wash for the xenons was handy but have to remember to code it back on for the mot/dutch apk teat oops edit; test, whichever comes first.
There are some handy video how-to's at the mycarly site you can watch in order to familiarise with coding.

The Chirp lives here under 'Alarm System'
Activate these 2

Audible confirmation – locking vehicle
• active
• not active
Audible confirmation for locking vehicle is active/not active. (codable in DWA)

Audible confirmation – unlocking vehicle
• active
• not active
Audible confirmation for unlocking vehicle is active/not active. (codable in DWA)

There is a full listing of coding possibilities here

Oh really? Well mine lowered no problem when backing into the garage of the seller of the hardtop i bought recently... Ergo, that must mean it's been coded succesfully, no?

Glad to see one of my posts had such a positive effect! I almost didn't mention it

If you code the roof to comfort close it will work on the key (not fob though)
You can also code so a single press ejects the key. Small thing but it makes me happy

I'm in Worcestershire if any one is near to me. The same Carly works on minis and other bmws if you are thinking of investing

e85 lowers at very low speed, very definitely not at 30mph, think it chucks up a red light on the dash above 5 or maybe 10mph

Hmm, maybe i thought i'd coded that successfully then, when it was there as a facility all along. Have to wait til next year to verify it. Hey ho.
