Really??? So you’ve replaced Push for down, Pull for up??? Why??? It’s the natural way of things, everyone else is wrong
I have changed it so that the left paddle will only change down when you pull it, pushing does nothing. The right paddle will only change up a gear when you pull it, pushing does nothing.

Every car I have driven with paddleshift operates it this way so that is how I am used to using it.

How did it operate before? I thought pull on left for down, pull on right for up was universal, no? :?
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

F31 320i. Good car.
E89 20i Now fully dried
Z3 'free litre'. Project and a half. Complicated!
Mazda3 sold
Tatty old R56 Mini Cooper. Money pit!

But that’s just conformist! It’s against the motorsport set up that bmw applied originally; push for down, pull for up

Both sides pull for up and both sides push for down I believe. I never actually installed them in the car with the oem setup, I figured out the wiring on the work bench before installing them in the car.

If we didn't conform we'd be driving some cars with a brake pedal on the right and throttle pedal in the middle.

That`s correct . It has never felt intuitive to me . The reason is so that you can change up or down with one hand on the wheel I believe .
Montego Blue E86 . MILV`s . Simpson Custom Manifold Race Exhaust . xHP transmission stage 3 . VT engine mounts . BC RA coilovers . H&R arbs . Adjustable rear camber arms . Ultra Racing front strut brace . Drexler LSD .

Spot on - how are you supposed to apply makeup and drink coffee if two hands are required?

Did battle with the hateful headlamp washers!

They're pointless things, I've never had issues seeing due to dirty headlamps. The only time I used them on an unlit road I had more of a problem seeing when they were working. :headbang:

Passenger side was leaking when I got the car so I bought a used pair on here complete with hoses luckily.

Ross at RBM swapped the leaking one for me and I sold the drivers' side to another forum member then pulled Fuse 40 to stop the covers or jets flying off!

Then last week I took the car out and low washer fluid warning light came on. When I got home I stuck a litre of water in the reservoir and the next day there was a puddle under the passenger side headlamp washer.

Had a root in the garage and found those used hoses. Disconnected the hose from the headlamp washer pump and attached one of the spares after winding a bolt into the other end. Put a litre of water in and 3 hours later the level hadn't dropped so it looks like I've cracked it. :D

Just in time because I didn't fancy driving up to do Northumbria and the Scottish Lowlands run next weekend without screen washers.
Coupes because stunning!
Current - Silver Grey MC, Imola Red heated Nappa & carbon trim. Aeros, H & R Coil-overs, 224s, OE Strut brace, Nav, cup-holders, DSP Hi-Fi, pdc, cruise, MFSW, no CDV! E90 330i daily
Gone - Montego Blue
Gone - Ruby Black

Not sure what you mean :? Just for confirmation the reason I posted the photo was to show anyone else that is going to use a cheese wire to cut through sealant to be more careful than I was . In a moment of excitement to get the final bit finished I twisted my hand round to go through a tricky corner and stupidly caught my wrist on the wire .

It's an unfortunate spot too. I have a cat and had light scratch marks all on my wrist from her cute aggression..

A religious colleague noticed it and offered me Jesus' services for my demons. That was an interesting conversation.. :P

Picked up a Supersprint X-pipe and pair or rear race silencers from @louie on here.

Finally got round to fitting it. Looking forward to hearing it paired with the csl box 👂 💥

Also changed the gearbox oil to another up the shifting in time for some summer road trips.

When we first got our German Shepherd puppy, god he was soooo cute, he used to bite everything including my sons wrists, one day at school a teacher asked him why he had all these scratches on his wrists, thought he was self harming.
Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.
Ford Anglia, Red Sprite, a few MG midgets, MGB Roadster and yellow Ford Capri, all gone many years now.

Had to bring the old hardtop to the storage. Doesn't even look that bad. 8)
