Recent changed the MAF sensor, had previously cleaned it. No codes but not seeing the uncontrollable bunny hops any more. You can get some but not like before. Used the OEM Bosch MAF sensor.

Today I installed a 3rd brake light flasher. Flashes 6 times in ~2.2 secs. It delays for 8 secs before flashing again. Supposed to be legal here due to the short amount of time it flashes. There is another version that will flash everytime you apply the brake pedal. Don't want to annoy others in bumper to bumper traffic, so went with 8sec delay version. Used a male/female plug and wired unit in-between, didn't need to cut any OEM wires. Can easily reverse need be.

They are fitting those to new cars but they only flash to show the driver is braking hard. Good idea.
Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.
Ford Anglia, Red Sprite, a few MG midgets, MGB Roadster and yellow Ford Capri, all gone many years now.

In a similar vein: swapped out my broken 3rd brake light. Spent the last 6 months tapping it back into place upon closing the boot, so that’s a ritual that’ll probably have to wear off a bit
Four Alfa's and a Ducati later, I've turned to the dark side...

Marty, where did you get that rear lip (spoiler)? I like it!

Fixed the passenger door membrane. Been having a leak for years that would gather underneath the passenger seat. I garage my car since it's my daily but when there are downpours it sucks
Found out the membrane was detached on the bottom and I could see the water residue where it would leak through. Apparently the window regulator was changed.
Used a heat gun and heated both sides of the black butyl and waited for it to get sticky and soft and then stuck them together. Used some gortilla tape on the spots that could become detached. So far it seems okay but we haven't had a downpour yet so time will tell lol.
Relatively easy fix if your membrane isn't ripped or destroyed, that butyl comes back to life with some heat!

Thanks! It’s made to order by Silvano in Germany, and resells via Burkhart. It’s a carbon copy (ha!) of the original aero spoiler. I got an old one kicking around that’s got clearcoat damage, and needs a paintjob. DM me if you’re interested

Added 20mm spacers to the rear and pretty disappointed to be honest. Sticks out too much imo. Surprised so many people say 20mm works. For me now 15mm looks more like the optimum. Also strange there’s so much negative camber.

Tested my new trolley jack and had a glance underneath the rear end of my recent E86 purchase. Cleaned all the green away on the seals, leaving horrible streaks down the rest of the dirty car.

Been out for a drive with the roof down early this morning. Went over to Harry Metcalfe’s Cotswolds test road (it really is good and feels almost Wales like). The MR shone brightly and sounded epic (Eventuri intake).
Came back and cleaned the engine bed (wet clean) and then the interior. She’s looking good (on the inside at least).
