Hi srhutch
Wired in loom yesterday, no problems at all, it took about 40 minutes,, picked up new stalk this morning from Sytner BMW.
Fitted stalk on garage forecourt about 40 seconds
Used CC immediately on the way home
Brilliant
Thanks again for your help

Just to advise that I’m up to date with looms so if anybody wants to order let me know.
I tend to make up at weekends and post out on Mondays.

Hi, srhutch, I'd be interested in one, 06 2litre facelift manual.
Cheers Keith.

Finally got round to doing this today. Followed the extra instructions and didn't refer to the original BMW ones at all. The labels on each wire made everything idiot proof. Great job srhutch!
Additional tips... Someone earlier mentioned that he did it without removing the glove box. I tried it, and it was bloody impossible to feed the blue wire across, maybe because I had lots of extra wires from my camera and gauges taking up space back there. Removing the glove box takes 5 mins and makes it such a breeze. I also used a zip tie as a guide to feed the blue wire through the bulk head.

Thanks for the update
I don’t remove the glovebox. Just use a piece of stiffish wire to feed through, same as through bulkhead. But as you say removal of glovebox doesn’t take long if that’s the preferred route.

Hey,
Anybody in Leeds up for helping me fit this in exchange for beer money?
I've spent the morning reading the instructions and have now chickened out.
Thanks,
Chris
