Went into Wrexham today with a mate and we decided to drop into Demon Tweeks to be greeted by this beast . The only thing was the description board says it was based on an E39 in large print but in the smaller print it does state E89 so obviously a proof reading error . Looks great in the flesh...
Removed the soft coat paint from the Satnav surround as it was very scratched . This took about 4 hours from start to finish including removing and reinstalling Satnav .
I decided to change the dials from black to yellow to fit in with the yellow stripe and the OMP logo on the steering wheel. I also painted the silver dial surrounds black .
Some of you will be aware that I bought Martyn`s M coupe last year and so I am going to continue to put any updates on it here . Martyn`s original build post which is a great read is here https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=138219 .
Firstly I bought a Lenovo tablet to replace the one...
Really happy with these wheels that were to delivered straight from Apex Wheels in USA . They are in Motorsport Gold and I pre ordered at 15 % off . Got stung with VAT though but I knew that was going to happen .
Had to check with their support technicians to cover big brake kit at front so had...
Up for sale are as the title says . I bought these recently but after doing some motorway driving and long drives on the NC500 I have decided they are not for me . This is mainly due to the fact that I have no resonators and running 100 cell cats so they are just too loud for long journeys but...
After selling my original back box and exhaust I now find myself in the position of wanting to buy/try just the backbox . I am getting too much drone from the full race exhaust I have . It`s great on short runs but on motorways and longer runs not so good . No room for another resonator so...
I need a handbrake with decent teeth for the M as the teeth have worn . Thank you .

An update on fitting the tailgate / third brake light / lock / gas struts / polycarbonate window / trim .
First major issue was that the tailgate had come fitted with M6 threads not M8 :x This made what was supposed to be a fairly straight forward swap into a PITA . I spoke to Geoff Steel...
I have got round to fitting the carbon tailgate today but the threaded inserts they have used are M6 and the bolt threads are M8 :x
The fittings concerned are numbered 5 , 8 and 10 on real oem tailgate...
I have now cut out the areas that needed doing and drilled the holes for the trim clips etc . It is now waiting to be flatted back and clear coated . If you are going to work on the carbon tailgate yourself it is fairly straight forward as the areas that need cutting can be seen on the molding ...
Removed the tailgate yesterday . Only bit that was a bit tricky was removing the third brake light . It didn`t want to budge after removing the nuts and springs . There are also 2 clips holding it in but even with them squeezed together it still didn`t want to move so I used an extension piece...
Next stage is a weight saving one when I get round to it . When I did the carbon roof one of the photos showed two polystyrene packages .
This is what was in the second one.
and I also ordered a polycarbonate screen which I am sure I will have fun fitting . The blue tint is just a...
I have been in talks with Josh@Severn Tuning https://www.severntuning.com/ since the end of January about getting a tune done for the Z4 after the previous tune I had done left me with a very rich running and at some points in the rev range a not very happy car . The dyno figures looked ok but I...
Stopped off at a supermarket car park today so my better half could pick up a few things on the way home . I stayed in the car . A few minutes later a woman in her late 60`s in an already battered car decides to come round the front of my car to try and park in the space next to me and catches...
