35is Prices Holding Well.

I've been debating parting with my Valencia 35is for an M4 for the last 12 months or so. It's only done 27k and I've been watching the market and the 35is is really wearing well. Low milage ones are holding well over 20k. Happy days.

Yes there are holding, in fact increasing slightly. The main dealer who I bought mine from recently said my 35iS had increased £1500 in value between February and September this year and a further £1000 between September and the 3rd week in November when I spoke to them again about a different car.

I know some of that may be a seasonal difference and with Covid thrown in but either way good news for owners.

He also said they’re becoming more desirable and they’re retailing up to 10 plate ones quite regularly at circa £15~16k. It’s been mentioned quite a few times on here by people looking for one that good private sale ones are being bought quickly and appearing on BMW’s AUC site a matter of days later with a couple of grand added to the price.

Also, if trading in for the M4 you might be surprised with the trade in, I was against mine

Used cars are holding value across the board right now, not just zeds. I have been shopping for daughters first car, deals are hard to find on decent examples of pretty much anything (apart from 4X4 - SUV sheds)...

One of the reasons is that people are reluctant to use public transport so are looking at used cars, this is driving prices up right now and good cars are hard to find.

Just an i not an iS had what I needed spec wise ( and 8 days away from being a 2010 year)but could never find a definitive answer what does the standard 35iS have above the 35i apart from extra bhp.
Are all 35is M sport models( think mine is not an m sport but has all electric heated sport seats) and has msport adaptive suspension standard on both(mine has it) or standard on 35iS only
Plus has BMW insured warranty - does seem that these cars can throw up big bills

Lovely colour blue...

According to the UK 2011 price list as standard the 35i compared to the 35is didn’t have

DCT box
Sports exhaust system
Idrive
Adaptive suspension
Servotronic
PDC
Alarm system
Auto dimming exterior mirrors
Heated steering wheel
Wind deflector
M sport trim/steering wheel/door sills
And six programmable soft keys
Plus different wheels
Many trim options

Don’t you love that every this extra feeling courtesy of BMW

I didn’t realise the 35is had a heated steering wheel as standard? Thought they were an expensive rarity on any e89 :?

I don't have the full list to hand but from what I remember the 35is has the following exclusives
35is Sports exhaust
Silver Wing mirrors
35is rear diffuser
Body coloured rear diffuser
Custom steering map that is super light at low speeds

And then it comes with a few optional extras as standard.

Got a lot of ticks on the list for extras well done 1st owner-including heated steering wheel.( maybe an ex Canadian) but prefer the 19" wheels on the one at £16.5k but after getting one specifically with adaptive suspension not sure how much that extra inch will ruin ride
