Air con footwell leak.

My aircon condensates into the footwellr due to a blocked pipe somewhere. Is there a quick fix for this that does not involves removing the whole dash?

I’ve read previous post where the drain pipe from the Air con has become disconnected and it then drips into the footwell, I’m afraid I think it’s the dash out to reconnect

I have a 64 plate 28i with this issue, local main dealer states it's a grommit, it's not covered under the so called warranty either...to fix the problem £258, to dry the carpets and sound deadening a further £1100, at present I'm waiting to hear if BMW will pay for this, I bought the car on 13 March this year so not too happy about this situation, i'll let you know the outcome.

the A/C releases condensed water via the highlighted pipe below

you can find it next to the gearbox on the right side of the car - the bottom cover under the gearbox may not need to be removed to see it

I imagine working backwards, you could find the cause of the leak

Just got car back today, although not covered by warranty BMW agreed to cover the cost, took four days, BMW assist provided a 320d, nice motor but I'm glad to have the Z4 back.
