Fuel..how high will it go?

Back on topic, the UAE has agreed to increase output and a barrel of oil has dropped 12% to $112 - lets see those prices drop tomorrow or is it once again, prices go up one day when the cost per barrel rises and takes months to drop

[ref]Ole gits rule[/ref], keep up old man, that’s already been posted on the previous page which sparked all this jolly

Thinking about this, numbers are difficult without context, so…

We’ve got the 118d as a daily. When we got it 1.5 years ago, diesel was at €1.14 per litre. Full tank would be about €45. Today that’s 2.22 per litre, so that same tank costs €88…

Premium unleaded? Started at €1.62 when I got it (summer of “21), €65 for a tank. Now? €2.46,9 so €99…

Ironically, it’s the fairly frugal diesel that’s costing us dearly given that the Z4 only uses about 1-1.5 tanks of fuel a month. Still, happy that I don’t have the more thirsty 159 with its 70 litre tank…

Talking of context you youngsters have no idea how painful prices are now for us oldies!

When I got my moped in 1975 2-star (or 91 Octane) was £0.695 per GALLON! Or £0.153 per litre. :o

Hopefully some good news, reports that UAE and Iraq have stated that they are willing to increase oil production, Brent Crude was trading at $130 at the start of the day, after that news it has fallen and is currently at $112

Wonder how long it will be before we see any drop in prices at the pumps :poke:
Was only a couple of years ago it was 40 dollars a barrell.
How things have changed.

It's gone up quickly, that's for sure
Like other parts of the country,in Ayrshire it's went up from 142/145/154 for Unleaded in days.
That's for Standard Unleaded.
Super Unleaded at Tesco locally is now 161.

If you want Shell V Power, the nearest Shell to me is at 171.9 for a litre

And the Americans were moaning on TV today at an all time high, with a 75 cents per Gallon increase, lol

Every cloud though.............
Got an email from my building soc today saying my savings accounts' interest were going up from 0.50% to 0.60%. Generous to a fault they are :|
