well, i've looked into real oem and it has under heating/ "retrofitings" part a whole bunch of things linked to installation of automatic aircon. it's a 500 euro option give or take, so there must be stuff involved behind the control panel. I will bug the dealer about before it gets serious.

Just checked my 04 brochure and 'automatic air conditioning' is listed as standard across the range. Should be the same on both cars and look like this
FWIW I've found it to be the best of all the cars I've had with aircon, both in cooling quickly when required and maintaining the required temp.

Those are few hundred bucks extra. So my guess it's gonna be 400-600 dollars to retrofit given it's actually possible. :tumbleweed:
