Just got my G29

Hi, thats me I've finally made the move to the G29 from the E89! Slowly learning all the features that the car has to offer, spent part of the day sorting the technology to my configuration. After 9 years, my good old E89 goes to a new home today, it's been a great car.

Just taken the E89 out of the garage, its washed and vacuumed (did 3 cars yesterday :w00t: )
 
It's a shame that the weather is stinking today. Yesterday was at least decent. I managed to get 2 cars washed in between doing my call out.

Thanks Sars... took most of yesterday afternoon to get clean, but a good opportunity to have a closer look at the bodywork... luckily no dents or major scratches! A few sessions are need on it!
 
It's a braw looking car, that's for sure. Wishing you many happy, faultless miles in it.

Sapphire black, same as mine. Looks great when just cleaned, but shows up the dirt after a rain shower.
 
Thanks folks, not been far in yet (curse of being self employed and other priorities!). Yes, I will be at the Boness show, (2 black G29's) we will opposite ends of the lineup to create some balance :rofl: Its amazing at night when the cabin lights up : 8) The only thing I haven't worked out yet is how to upload music to the hard drive and keep the playlists? (my E89 didn't have a problem doing this).

I never thought I'd own one as I wasn't a fan when they came out, tastes change as you get older I suppose :oldman: and I have had to adjust the way I get out of it (sills seems to be wider)

Regarding the hard drive, I understand that there isn’t one on the latest G29 following the LCI facelift. I found that out after taking delivery of mine last August, my previous G29 did have a hard drive. A bit sneaky of BMW cutting corners like this. I have my music on a USB stick in the socket next to the phone pad which is a bit messy.

I have the ivory interior like you, looks great with black sapphire. The only pack I went for was technology, well worth it for the HUD, Harmon Kardon, and reversing camera.

I have to say the G29 is growing on me, looks great in Sapphire Black but maybe I am biased a bit. :rofl:
