If only they updated the Waze alerts to always alert on the cameras not just when you are over the limit. Too easy to not get notified and just blip the accelerator before the camera and get caught as you don’t know it is there
I thought they were, not just appear when your over the limit?

I stopped using Google maps as when I was listening to the news and they mentioned Birmingham it rerouted me. Really annoying. Although at least I noticed straightaway. I stick with Waze now. The pothole alert is quite busy round here though.

I have given Waze a bit of a trial and must admit I don't like the feet measurement instead of yards. Who uses feet for any kind of distance?

Also I can't simply talk to it. I have to use the microphone. A minor thing but still a bit annoying.

I am also missing the satellite view that Google Maps gives me.

I have a road trip at the weekend (before the snow comes) so will see how it performs then and make a decision but am leaning back towards Google Maps.

"I like to plan routes in advance" you can do this on Waze or Google Maps (on your phone) or Maps on your PC and it should pop up on your phone.
"the other reason I like Maps, is that the map will display on the driver binnacle" I get this using Waze. Don't have HUD, but see no reason why it would show on the dash display and not HUD.

I always use Waze for navigation and it gives accurate speed useful on average speed camera roads and limited speed on m roads.

Noticed Waze is now warning of potholes and objects in the road. Had a warning a couple of days ago and it was a discarded blown tyre in the outside lane. Hardly ever use the cars Sat Nav now

We mustn't have the number of potholes they have in other areas of the country then :D

Had a go at Waze but found its search options a lot more limited than Google Maps - when I search for say a building or business Google works so much better. If Im on a long run with spirited roads then yes would use Waze but day to day am on Google Maps.
