What have you done to your car today?

Wow, that’s rough! Bet you’re glad that’s done! :o
Yea it was a nightmare. I washed the car today and to my delight, no water seeped through the newly installed third brake light so I’m happy about that. I also stuck a fresh emblem on steering wheel.

However I really need to clean behind the kidney grills. The black plastic behind them looks a bit faded. Is there any product solution people here recommend to darken the black plastic there?

Shared the Z4 love by going to this month's edition of the Gaydon Gathering. The old girl felt lonely with only a couple of Z3's and no Z4 in sight but I had a good time walking around with my better half who seems to appreciate mini's and 40-50's cars. Make me think about eventually doing a mini track build :driving:

When you say side covers do you mean the covers between folded roof and door? I only ask as th photo I presume showing them was just blank for me. Also where did you get them?

That’s interesting… someone else having random images show as a black square. Would you be using an iPhone 15 by chance??
Nice looking car BTW… Rear lights look better and I prefer a de-badge, so less 80s

All I can see of the 2nd photo is a black square, and I'm using a Dell laptop!

But you can just about see the side covers in the 3rd and 4th photos.

If you want a pair Calverz your best bet would probably be to find them on here, but they don't come cheap!

Here's a link to a pair for sale:- https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=147071

Well on Sunday…fitted my New Exaust Tips 👍😁IMG_1321.jpegIMG_1325.jpegIMG_1326.jpeg

Yeah, that looks great! Those T-clamps work well. Used them on my supercharged Mustang with 18-19lbs boost, no problem.

Thank you for this. I didn't even know this was a thing. You learn something new everyday! For the money I think I'll give it a miss. Other things I want to prioritise on mine first.

Found this. No idea where to post it so decided here is good… apologies if you have already seen it

They probably tidy things up if you display the car with the roof down but it has to be down before you can fit them, and you need to remove them before you put it up.

I can see why you'd rather spend on other things!

Yea this was my thinking. Plus up here in the highlands there has already been a couple of occasions where Iv needed to quickly raise the roof at traffic lights lol

That reminds me of the Z4 National in the Lake District last year. As we entered a town it started to rain a bit, and the lead car slowed down to let someone out of a filling station so he'd be going slow enough to put his roof up!

With those covers fitted you'd have to stop, remove them and potentially get quite wet.

decided to use a 3M kit to restore my passenger headlight

Noticed that I will have to respray the washer cover. I sprayed it about a year ago, not a difficult job....
