Z3 project...no going back now!

I cannot understand why they didn’t give you a proper quote, signed by you to say you agreed to the price and terms, with you and them having a copy. I run a small business and this is what I do, the price is the price for 30 days until signed and deposit paid. If not signed by then I re quote. The work can take up to 6 months for me to complete but the quote never changes. Everything straight and honest. Beggars believe how they can work like this.

So says the man with a Ferrari in his garage
If I was more successful, I would maybe have a real one. I dunno, maybe a surgeon? They seem to do OK. :D

I should have been a neurosurgeon - there’s a guy who operates at the same hospital that I do who has a McLaren and an F430 for when the sun is shining!

Dutton researched which of the various disciplines within the profession had the highest rates of psychopathy, and the results are revealing. Number one is neurosurgery (which is bad luck for any fans of Grey's Anatomy), followed by cardiothoracic or heart surgery and then orthopaedic. "The last one is brutal as you have to smash people's bones," says Dutton.

How dare he suggest that we’re the third most psychopathic. I’ve half a mind to smash his bones :violent1:

Maybe you did mention them but she forgot to write them down

Sorry for laughing Pondy but that’s just brutally funny….

That's because when he operates on their MD's he reprograms their brains to give him a cracking deal

In fact, it’s because he operates on everyone, whether they need surgery or not!

I can't help thinking this may be related to another recent thread!

Are you suggesting that I’m one of Pondrew’s henchmen?! :D

I re-fitted the rear bumper to the MGB :x for hopefully the final time today. All electrics tidied and waterproofed.

The paint job looks good in spite of all the dramas

You happy with the finish?
The paint job is very very good. Most of the work they have done is also very very good (the petrol flap is a work of art), it's just such a shame when they do silly things which cause me headaches. cos it takes away from the overall job.

On Wednesday when I spent all day and half the night sorting out why there was no power to the pax door electrics, the bodyshop weren't my best friends. If only they had told me what they had (or hadn't) done, it would have saved me hours.
They have damaged a rear light lens, lost a gasket to one of the lenses, lost an internal door handle, killed a perfectly good battery, etc etc. A bit more care is all that is required.

At least you got a good paint job, just a shame about the other issues. But it is looking good.

The pictures look incredible, the finish and the gloss of the paint, look outstanding. Kudos to you for all the hours, late nights etc and the perseverance to get this project nearing its completion. Time to pat yourself on the back and smoke that hand rolled cuban cigar. Job well done. Congrats

It is still nowhere near finished. I had a list of a million things to do yesterday. It's now down to 999,998.
