Had my renewal from Hastings direct up from £412 to £432 tried ck and were unable to get any better so did a search on compare the market and got cover plus ncb protection for £215 disappointed that ck could not help thought they wouldn't be beaten 😕 considering they are z4 specialists the girl I spoke to asked me how many seats it had :tumbleweed: will try again next year but note to self shop around shop around

Sorry we couldn't help. You have a very good deal there, £215 is below the insurer's minimum premium for that vehicle. We'd love to have helped but we just couldn't get that low.

On the seats front, we typically ask the same questions for each quote, and, whilst some appear obvious, we are required to take that information from you. If someone decided to remove a seat or seats (as does happen), we would be liable for listing incorrect information.

Does not hurt to get back to the top as the insurance market in the UK has gone mad recently with deliberate excessive hikes by some companies to increase profit levels (Admiral a prime example).

The december post of "shop around" is now more true than ever, and forget about loyalty.
 
Just sorted my renewal with Chris Knott Ins. Very helpful staff, minimal wait on the phone. My existing quote (which had been the cheapest I could find) was beaten by Chris Knott by around 8%. :D
