Keep me logged in?
Just started using these forums and they are excellent!
However I am having one issue, ill be half way through typing a post or browsing when I get logged out randomly. Also clicking the "keep me logged in on this computer" button doesn't seem to keep me logged in, I'm still being logged out every so often for no reason
If no ones else is having this issue I was wondering if possibly tapatalk on my iphone could be logging me on on that devoice and promptly kicking me off on here? However I don't see any reason why it should as sometimes I'm actually half way through typing (on the laptop) ill click submit and I will have been logged out causing my message I have just composed to be lost. (whilst not touching the iphone during any of that time)
Any ideas?

Re: Keep me logged in?
I'm also randomly logged out. Happens only on Z4-forum, once or twice in midst of reading "New posts", or while typing a reply. Snow Leopard (10.6.5 ) and Safari 5.0.3 (6533.19.4). Apple support forum recently had a thread about OS X 10.6.5 loosing session cookies, but AFAIK that bug has now been fixed.

Re: Keep me logged in?
I have never had it happen and at home I use a Mac with Snow Leopard. However, I don't use Safari but use Firefox or Thunderbird.

Ref Mac / Safari, not had it for a while (haven't been posting) but turning on Private Browsing seemed to fix it. Oddly.

Safari drops session cookies. Use google chrome instead. Even though they're both webkit based, safari has some proprietary gubbins that caused this.

Re: Keep me logged in?
Why would I switch browser on this machine for one forum, when the other 6 I browse are fine?
Also my bank and a few other official sites I visit require I use ie/FF on windows or safari/ff on osx, quite why chrome isn't tested and approved I don't know. The last time I tried chrome on OSX it was bulkier than safari and quite buggy but that was 12 months or so ago.
This is the second time I have typed this now now downloading chrome to try
hmm trying now a few of my old gripes have been sorted, but not all, cross fingers it fixes the forum.

It was just a suggestion. If you don't want to use it, don't. :tumble:BluZiff wrote:Why would I switch browser on this machine for one forum, when the other 6 I browse are fine?

And the Zed should be at north oxford BMW now, might be able to go and see it if the roads are ok (doubt they will be though, and im defiantly not risking driving it home)
