I sold my e89 23i last autumn and have been looking for a fun small car.The prices of older used cars
has risen as many sellers think they are worth 2k more than they should be.On checking they still aren’t sold
weeks later.
Anyhow I bought this Susuki last week. Not the fastest ,but goes around corners like it is on rails.

They are great little cars and handle really well. I tried one a few years ago to have as a fun car but the Z won because of the soft top. I’m sure you will enjoy driving it and running costs will be low too.thumbsup:

Prices are crazy, I sold my little toyota runabout before Christmas for £1k more than I paid for it 5 years ago. So I needed a new runabout, something to tinker with over the winter while my E89 hibernates in the garage so I bought a RCZ. It's the later mk2 and it comes with lots of toys, just fitted an all singing/dancing android head unit and reverse camera, wheel refurb next.

Love the swift, cracking little cars.
Your right about old run about prices at the moment. They are nuts, I've been trying to buy an old Mazda 2 sport. 7k for a 10 year old car. None available down here in the far SW either. So I'm living with the 1.3 at the moment. Handles lovely, but a bit understeery.

It's a strange car, not actually built by Peugeot but Magna Steyr in Austria (same as the Z4 G29). The RCZ uses essentially the same 1.6-litre turbocharged engine as the Mini Cooper S, supplied at either 156PS / 204PS / 270PS (R version) + a diesel model (autos have a Porsche gearbox). Ive only got the 156 but it seems adequate for what I want, the other two are more rapid especially the R. I've got a GT and it seems well equipped compared to the Z4, leather interior and dash, bluetooth (phone + streaming), heated memory seats and mirrors, PDC, speed deployed spoiler and 19" alloys. Like all cars they have their weak spots, mainly timing chain problems and water pump / thermostat housing leaks, that's why I went for a Mk 2 (most of the problems hopefully ironed out). Mines a two owner fsh car and very clean, I budgeted a further 1k just to do some bits and pieces like the infotainment replacement, alloy refurb and better tyres. So far I've enjoyed it.

Thanks for sharing - I've been tempted to try one of these in the past as well.Zed Baron wrote: ↑Thu Feb 09, 2023 9:48 am It's a strange car, not actually built by Peugeot but Magna Steyr in Austria (same as the Z4 G29). I never liked the RCZ when it came out, but time has been surprisingly kind to it. Good buy I reckon, and nice to have something a little different
