The fog light refurbishment is near completion.. Thanks to a mate with the proper tools, rather than me with an old toothbrush.

The wheels are booked in for a full strip down, refurbish and paint early Feb. BMW Ferric grey A80 as below:

The foglight refurb looks amazing - what are you going to do for the reflective part?

It's been coated in the same metallic paint, along with some sticky chrome tape over the top. I'm unsure of this, TBH.
I'm sure it will work but as soon as any moisture gets in there (we all know that will happen) it will peel. I'm planning to seal the lenses on so I don't want a load of tape floating around with no easy way to remove it.
I'm undecided what to do.
Leave painted with less light reflection but I won't need to split the lenese again, or leave the tape for improved reflection but the risk of the tape coming away next winter.?

Round 2 of the headlight refresh.
My previous attempt, I wasn't man enough so this time I got the rotary polisher going and set to work on that odd discolouration.
20mins later and it's a great result. I sealed with the included perspex sealant that came in the Quix pack, and then a coat of Fusso Coat. Hopefully that should block most of the UV.
They look fantastic.
Before and after attached.

Those wheels look great! Much better than black. Now you can actually see the wheel design
Any photos showing the whole car with the new wheels?

No wider photos yet.. it's so cold and grey outside.
Maybe this weekend I'll try to get out.

I've finally finsihed the fog light refurbishment and gone for a yellow tint for something different, I'm 95% sure I like it:

Stock, then blanks, followed with refurbished yellow tint:

I'm not fully convinced I approve of the look. But certainly more in favour than not, at this point.
I'll probably change my mind next week and peel it off, then decide I want them yellow again and redo them.

The problem I have with them is I don't think they are yellow enough. You look at them known that they should be yellow, but it's not standing out enough.

I'm not a fan of the yellow either.

They look much better clear, although the front of your car looks cleaner without them. But as you've refurbed them that probably isn't an option!

I tried the blanking plates in matching Montego blue and I really didn't like.
I felt it looked like a base spec car from the 90's that didn't get the tick box when ordering new.

So it's deffo either silver or yellow.

I hope you aren't suggesting my car looks like a 90s base spec model because it doesn't have front fogs.

Although I get your point and it's your car so your choice!

No, mine did though, for sure.
I think it's because I knew they should be there.
My dad has an old MX5, he specced it from new and chose not to tick fog lights, and when I put the blanking plates in, it reminded me of his MX.
