Reverting back to 224's - thoughts?

I would say though that the M3 or CSL wheels are probably more acceptable to others then true aftermarket wheels.

Quite right. Most marques have a heavy OEM+ following.

Fitting CSL's to a bmw of this era is deemend more an upgrade than a modification.

Reason I suggested them Dave is that the coupe's work so well on the CSL's. Just look made to fit.

If you're looking to sell the car in the future then I'd agree that csls would be considered an upgrade as bmw oem - and although common they still look sharp.

Also, either way consider getting a set of eibachs I think that would complete the m3 wheel effect (I think you're on standard springs)

Indeed, not ventured down that path just yet. But it's only a matter of time... And cash.

Are those CSL's darker than normal?

Looks great Adam

Just brake dust

OEM pads generate a lot of dust. They are much brighter when freshly washed :)

I really don't like the M3 wheels at all, so in order of looks it would be 224 as the cheapest next best, then CSL for the best on the coupe.

Still never worked out why they look so wrong on silver grey though in roadster form whilst ok in coupe shape.
